A pair of French Arts and Crafts Salon Chairs

These beautiful chairs come with their original individual hand woven linen upholstery, they date back to around 1880, and showing only slight signs of wear
The fabric has beautifully muted colours, the picture on the back of each chair is of a different song bird, the fabric would have been made especially for these chairs
So from the French Arts and Crafts movement we have a pair of very good quality and comfortable Walnut Salon chairs with shapely carved cabriole legs and arms and small decoration to the spoon shaped back
The seats and chair backs are brass studied and sprung, they are sound and unique
The chair backs are 35” high, the front is 24” wide, 20” deep
