This is a great quality pair of antique serpentine shaped French Louis revival chestnut bedside cabinets, circa 1920.

This is a great quality pair of antique serpentine shaped French Louis revival chestnut bedside cabinets, circa 1920, designed in the style of the Louis XV1 period. They each have moulded tops. Below there are three working drawers that feature the original brass knobs. Below, sits a shaped frieze to the front and sides. The sides of cabinets feature lovely fielded panels. The fronts of the cabinets boast a lovely serpentine design to the front and sides of the chests and the whole sits on elegant cabriole legs with a shaped frame. The drawer linings are lined in a mustard colour velvet material. These bedsides are in excellent original condition, which is what gives them their lovely patination and colour this has been generated by the years of cleaning and care they have received. These bedsides chests boast the classic French chateau styling that you see in antique furniture of this period.
These bedsides would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

These bedside cabinets are in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Importantly, the bedsides tops are free of watermarks and ink stains. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The drawer linings are constructed of solid oak. The brass knobs are original. The cabinets stand firm on the ground and do not wobble. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
