Pair of 20th.c. French Empire style open armchairs. Cherrywood frames and striking upholstery in green silk with Classical style motifs to the backrest and seats (continued on the rear). Straight top rails over padded backrests and shaped arms. With carved and reeded fronts and a simple papyrus leaf detail where the arms meet the stiles. Sprung seats on square legs with a slight curve at the foot. Some minor marks to the covers on the seat. Generally good condition, the frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
