Pair of French high back armchairs
Pair of French 19th century high back armchairs in solid carved oak, circa 1880 and in "vintage" upholstery which you may or may not choose to replace.
Great chairs for additional living room armchairs as they are comfortable enough to sue for hours, rather than some which aren't!
Equally, these make great decorative chairs too, in a hall or fireside etc.
Good solid frames, beautifully carved and shaped with a wonderful rich dark oak finish and the old brass studs are great too, with none missing!
Offered as you see them, with the vintage fabric which does have signs of age etc, but the seats are both good.
I can assist with an upholsterer if you need one...approx 3m per chair required.
Measuring:
48 1/4 inches or 122.5 cm high
25 inches or 63.5 cm wide
25 1/2 inches or 65 cm deep
20 inches or 51 cm seat height
21 1/4 inches or 54 cm seat width
20 1/2 inches or 52 cm seat depth
30 inches or 76 cm seat back height from seat cushion
27 inches or 68.5 cm arm height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
