A charming pair of French late 19th century Armchairs, or Fautiels. Made from solid walnut which has developed a warm, rich colour. They are decorated with scrolling , carved detailing throughout and further embellished with gilt highlighting. They are of generous proportions and extremely comfortable. The upholstery is in excellent order and the frames are strong, sturdy and wobble free. This lovely pair of chairs could fit well into a number of different rooms in the modern home.
