A fine and decorative pair of French Empire period watercolour portraits of a lady and gentlemen. The portraits are beautifully observed with great detail. The pair are in excellent condition with the colours bright and fresh. The pair are framed in a wonderful pair of red painted and gilded Empire style frames though from the late nineteenth century. I would think the paintings have been in these frames for a very long time. The pair have a great decorative look and are ready to hang. C.1820.

Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf. Deliveries can be organised all over the world so please do ask wherever you are.
