A rare pair of Japanese multi-metal table lamps c1935. Signed and containing Mount Fuji, lake, temple, fishing boat and mountain landscape in detail. Each lamp has been created with reverse view to the other and so display beautifully this ancient craft. Mounted to original carved wooden base.
Showing with Lisa Wrigley designed silk shades that can be optional.
Previous owner stated that these lamps were brought back from Japan in the early 1950's to America by an US embassy official post occupation after the Second World War.
