Pair of Large William Birch Antique Oak Armchairs

Pair of Large William Birch Antique Oak Armchairs
This is a super pair of very good quality, open antique armchiars by William Birch around 1890.
Made in solid fumed oak, both antique armchairs feature ring turned front legs which finish on a pad foot, ring turned stretchers and a well shpaed back rest.
Both these William Birch designed antique armchairs are in very good, solid condition and both have newly rushed traditional seats which will go paler.
Perfect to use as a pair of large carver dining armchairs or as desk chairs.
William Birch was an Arts and Crafts antique furniture designer who specialised in chair making. Based in High Wycombe, Birch's furniture factories were a main supplier of furniture for Liberty, London in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The rush-seated antique dining chairs he made in the 1890s, like these, are still prized for their comfort today.
