A pair of oak tavern antique tables, circa 1680, reputedly from "Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese" pub in London's Fleet Street. These sturdy antique tables have wonderful patination and could well have carried the pub's speciality pies (or puddings as they were known) of steak, kidney, oysters and larks.

The pub, originally built in the 1530's, was burnt down in the Great Fire of London, and rebuilt in 1667. It has been host to many notable people in its long history, from Alfred Lord Tennyson, Mark Twain and Charles Dickens to Princess Margaret and Winston Churchill.
