A pair of Regency period mahogany dining room armchairs. The backs have overset top rails and carved inset middle rails, they have scrolled arms with well shaped arm supports. The chairs have removable ‘drop in’ seats and stand on sabre front legs. They are of excellent quality and in good, firm and strong condition. Sizes: 20”(51cms) wide, 21”(53cms) deep, 37”(94cms) high. Height of seats: 19”(48cms). Date circa 1815. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book.
