Pair of Victorian Burr Walnut Card Tables c.1850
A fantastic rare and unusual pair of burr walnut card antique tables with magnificent serpentine shaped burr walnut tops. The thumb moulded tops lift and swivel to reveal the original green baize interior and the serpentine shaped frieze conceals a storage area for cards etc. They stand on beautifully shaped and carved centre columns which are supported by very unusual shaped umbrella bases with three elegantly carved legs on original castors.
This pair are outstanding examples of Victorian design and craftsmanship. They are in excellent condition and the colour is exquisite.
