Pair of Victorian Carved Walnut Back Chairs.
Circa 1870, a pair of Victorian carved walnut back chairs. They have a carved top rail with foliate carving on each side of the centre. The chair stands on a full stuff over seat and has a serpentine front and curved sides. The uprights at the back taper down to form slightly swept out back legs. The front of the chair has beading around the fore edge as the front dips. The elegant cabriole front legs are finished on a raised toe. The chairs are clean and sturdy.
