Pamela Davis RMS SWA Oil Still Life Flowers
This auction is for a beautifully executed still life oil on board by the artist PAMELA DAVIS, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a study of pink, mauve and white mixed flowers including white hellebores (Helleborus niger), fuchsias, hibiscus and hydrangeas with some variegated foliage and shows the beauty of these flowers in minute detail.
PAMELA DAVIS is a Member of the Society of Woman Artists and a Member of the Royal Miniature Society. She won the Gold Memorial Bowl on the Royal Miniature Society in 1991. She lives or lived in Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex. As all our reference books only go up to 1940, we have been unable to discover further biographical or exhibition details for her.
There are a few auction results available for her work, including 5 at artprice.
The painting is framed in its original 2 1/2" gilt frame with linen insert and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
