Partington London Small Fusee Dial Wall Clock
A very sweet little fusee dial wall antique clock. A rosewood case with a cast brass bezel surround. Fine mother of pearl inlays to the surround and drop section. A rarer 8" painted dial signed 'PARTINGTON LONDON with 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. An original crank winding key. Circa 1840.
The Partington family of clockmakers are recorded in Baillies' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working in the 1800's and Samuel from 1808-1824.
