Quality Music Stool - Mahogany - c1860

A very lovely top quality rise & fall music stool presented in superb condition.

Of quality construction this solidly crafted height adjustable stool is suitable for a range of applications. It would be as at home at the piano as it would be in a dressing area or by the fireside.

The rise and fall upholstered seat adjusts effortlessly through rotating the original side knobs and offers a feeling of solidity. The H.Smith of Glasgow cast iron mechanism marks the piece out as one of quality.

The unusual cross-stretcher quad-form base is wonderfully detailed with fine turning and 'turned-out' toes, providing an attractive and stable lower section.
The upholstered seat sits over the triple moulded seat body and is covered with a quality soft textile with floral pattern in very good order. There is a matching brocade trim.

Overall a beautiful example presented ready for the home.
