Striking portrait in oil on canvas of a silver haired lady in a red shirt by the celebrated British WWII artist Rupert Shephard (1909 – 1992). Presented on the original stretcher and in the original frame. Clearly signed in the lower right hand corner and dated 1972 – coincidentally the year Shephard was elected to the Royal Society of portrait painters. Whilst the canvas is in excellent condition, there is some wear to the frame. Please contact us for more images, delivery and shipping quotes.
