Pretty BURMANTOFTS Jardiniere, Sept 1891

A rare BURNANTOFTS Art Pottery Jardiniere/Planter with a dated inscription 'DOROTHY STEVENSON SEPT 1891'. Quite unusual to find this on a Burmantofts piece. Whether this was made by or for someone who worked in the pottery, or perhaps to mark a birth, we can only surmise!
Brown and golden yellow faience glazed background with impasto decoration of white flowers, foliage and blue garland.
No evident chips or cracks, a couple of tiny glaze fleabites and the usual age crazing in the glaze. The inscription is a little blurred from the firing.
Fully marked on base with the BF Burmantofts backstamp and shape/design numbers 1773 & 2043.
A very nice and quite unusual piece of Burmantofts!
Satisfaction Guarantee & Returns Policy.
Returns are accepted within 7 days. A full refund will be given provided the item is received in the same condition as when sold. Buyer is responsible for return postage/shipping costs, appropriate packaging and insurance.
