Pretty French Art Nouveau Table Lamp & New Shade
This is a very pretty French Art Nouveau Brass Table Lamp with a new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge etc. TV series.
The Table Lamp has a square base, ornamented with Ginkgo Biloba leaves and fruit, which curves inwards to a narrow square column. There is a brass push button on/off switch. The shade fits over the candle bulb.
The shade is in the Fairy candle style and has a navy moire crown, gold sateen body, gold fringe, navy tassels and a toning two colour braid.
The lamp has been newly rewired with antique gold braided flex, and has all new fittings, including lampholder, switch and plug. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
Height to top of shade: 16" - 40.65cm
Diameter of shade: 7 1/2" - 19cm
Base: 5 1/4" - 13.35cm square
Condition: Very good. There are a couple of tiny dings from use and a tiny hole drilled through the top edge of the base, the purpose of which is unknown to us. The shade is new.
