A pretty vintage enamel makeup compact which is ideal for loose and pressed powder. For example: Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte and CCUK. This 1960s compact mirror is adorned with cream enamel, gilt swirling foliage, pink, blue and yellow flowers. The brass is lacquered and so this handbag mirror will not need to be cleaned. The hinge and catch work perfectly. The mirror gives a good accurate reflection.The compact does not appear to have been used with face powder. There is a slight bit of wear on a tiny area on the brass. The original clean sifter is included. The base is decorated with beautiful engraving. Measures 3" and weighs 83.7 grams.
