Puce Griffin Period Rockingham Trio 1831-42


For sale we have a very attractive trio consisting of two cups and saucer by the fine Georgian Yorkshire porcelain maker Rockingham.
This typically ornate Rockingham trio is richly decorated in periwinkle blue and gilt on a white ground with a gilt rococo foliate design. The base the saucer carries the Rockingham puce mark dating the piece to the 1831-42 Rockingham period.
The Saucer is 6 inches (15cm) in diameter and the coffee cup is 3 inches (7.6cm) high to handle spur. The cups are both in a very good to excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and only very slight wear to the gilt. However there
