Very smart Queen Anne style chest of drawers on stand c.1920. Top section featuring three small drawers over three long drawers of graduated height plus, quite unusually, a slim drawer hidden in the shaped frieze just below the cornice. On a separate stand with three drawers raised on nicely shaped cabriole legs front and rear. A good looking chest with highly figured veneers on the drawer fronts, original brass drop handles and reeded mouldings to the surrounds. Ogee cornice and waist mouldings, well shaped apron across the front of the base. Solid mahogany sides, oak drawer linings and original label for the great Manchester department store Kendal, Milne & Co. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
