Rare 19th Century Antique Polo Playing Weathervane
Rare 19th Century Antique Polo Playing Weathervane.
This is a superb and unsual antique weathervane depicting a polo player and pony in action.
Dating from the 19th century, this antique weathervane is in solid copper with an old paint finish.
In very good original condition with just a little of the tail on the pony missing, they bandage them up to play polo anyway!
The polo player is fully equipped with hat, mask and polo stick and the pony is fully tacked up along with a martingale.
The polo ball is seen on the ground, this is a little naively sized!
A perfect outside weathervane for a polo yard or stables.
