A wonderful and rare late Victorian / Edwardian silver plated Egg Coddler, a perfect collectible for the Croquet devotee. The coddler itself is in the form of a croquet ball with a ball shaped finial to the top, the handle in the form of a hoop, the legs and feet created from four mallets and the frame holding the burner created from a couple of winning posts.

The lid lifts to reveal the removable coddler tray again with a ball shaped finial.

Dating to around 1900, it remains in great shape. The footprint measures 6" x 4 1/2" and stands 9 3/4" tall to top of handle.
