Rare Cardiganshire Oak Coffor Bach c1800

A rare Welsh oak Coffor Bach from the Cardiganshire region of wonderful simplistic form. The antique furniture from this region, particularly south Cardiganshire is regarded as being some of the most stylistically important and beautiful furniture in Britain. We have often wondered whether it was an influence for the later Shaker style so renowned and desirable till this day.
You will notice the lack of handles to the drawer, this is a feature only to be found in this small area and gives a superb clean look, these pieces are always of perfect proportions allowing the timber, colour and craftsmanship to speak for themselves.
In excellent original condition with just a very small and fine historic repair to the tip of one side foot to mention. A truly beautiful piece, the perfect height for a side table, bedside stand or to keep knick-knacks.
Length 31" = 60cm Depth 15" = 38cm Height 25" = 63cm
We are happy to provide further images and details upon request. Anyone is welcome to visit us by appointment without obligation.
Every item we sell is treated to prevent against insect attack upon arrival to ourselves as a matter of professional practice. This way you can be assured that every piece will be safe for your home and give peace of mind. All our furniture is finished to the very highest standard ensuring they continue to give long and serviceable life.
