For sale today we have this superb "St Francis of Assisi" pottery plaque by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous piece of Arts & Crafts pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts. Features St Francis in the woods wearing robes, with birds (one feeding from his hand) and a gilt halo. Measures 16.5cm x 11cm. Bears an impressed Compton Pottery Guildford stamp to the rear along with it's original hanging hook.
No chips, cracks or repair, some light wear to the tempera glaze. We are experienced dealers in mid to high end ceramics, metalware and other items.
