Rare Derby Figure Lady Dancing

An attractive and rare Derby porcelain figure of a lady dancing, holding a posy in her left hand with her arm gently swung across her body and lifting the hem of her skirt with her right hand. Wearing a floral painted skirt, white bodice fronted frilly pink top and cream and orange brimmed hat, she is stood and a scrolled base against a low floral bocage. Patch marks to the base, c.1760-1770.
Reference: Derby Porcelain Figures 1750-1848, An Illustrated Catalogue, Stuart Shepherd (Derby Derby Porcelain International Society) - this figure is the companion CTMD28 to the Gentleman Bag-Piper CTMD27, page 138, both classified as rare.
It measures 18.5cm (7 1/4") high and 11.2cm (4 3/8") by 8.2cm (3 1/4") wide.
In excellent condition, a few small chips to her hat brim and feathers have been sensitively colour matched. Minor chips to the bocage and posy. No other damage, repair or restoration. There are a few fine craze lines in the paler areas. Very minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
