A fine and rare 18th century porcelain asparagus server, of wedge shape with lobed rims to the walls. Very delicately painted in an overglaze "dry" Royal blue enamel with floral sprigs and finished with blue rims to the walls. Unmarked, Derby, c.1775-1780.

Reference: Ceramics Of Derbyshire 1750-1975, Bradley, plate 195 illustrates another example in this rare pattern.

It measures 7.8cm (3 1/16") long by 7cm (2 3/4") wide (at the widest point) and 2.5cm (1") high.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. There is a small glaze fault to the outer edge of one corner.
