Rare Double Sided Bank/Shop Room Clock
Here we have a stunning and rare example of a double sided antique clock.
The antique clock was made by Edward Blurton in Stourbridge, Worcestershire between 1858-76 and has a half deadbeat escapement movement with fusee running on gut line.
The slave clock side hands are balanced on the inside and there are also unusual shaped clock plates.
The clock is presented in a beautiful Oak and Mahogany casing with bottom section being squared off where it would have sat atop a plinth or wall top.
The clock workings have been professionally de-dusted and cleaned, pallets cleaned and oiled, all pivots have been oiled and comes with original pendulum and key.
The casing is in wonderful condition apart from a 1 cm piece of veneer that has chipped off at some point.
This would have likely stood in a bank or department store.
The clock runs well and keeps good time and has a satisfyingly good audible tick.
We will personally deliver the clock to whoever buys it to guarantee safe delivery.
