A fine early Worcester porcelain blue and white porcelain butter boat, printed with the rare Rose and Running Border, c.1760-65. Moulded overlapping geranium leaves form the outside of the bowl and base, blue crescent mark to base. Irregular shaped rim with small looped handle.

Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain, Branyan, French & Sandon, section II.C.5, described as "rare".

It measures 9cm (3 1/2") long, 6.8cm (2 5/8") wide and 3.7cm (1 7/16") high.

Condition is excellent there is a small chip under the handle thumb rest and a nick to the outer rim close by, alongside a short firing hairline. No other damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
