Rare George III Sheraton period Spoon Box c.1780

In many, many years of dealing in antique boxes, I have never come across a Sheraton spoon box such as this.
Similar to larger Knife Boxes, this is the same shape but in a smaller scale and the interior fitted purely for teaspoons.
Veneered in Mahogany the shaped sloped lid is inlaid with an Ebony and Boxwood star, repeated on the interior of the lid. The fully fitted interior is also inlaid with Ebony and Boxwood stringing.
The Box came to me with the three white metal / German 800 silver spoons, later, around 1880, I will include these spoons with the box as they fit perfectly.
The front is mounted with a silver escutcheon and ring handle the back profile reveals the original hinges.
A highly sought-after period gem for the advanced collector. 3 7/8" wide x 5" deep x 7" tall at rear.
