Rare Huntley and Palmers Shop Display Stand
Rare Huntley and Palmers shop advertising display stand.
A rare, circa 1930s Huntley and Palmers shop display stand, complete with a selection of 9 hinged /glazed biscuit tins.
The stand has 3 shelves for holding the tins in place, the customer would open the hinged lid, take out the required amount of biscuits and purchase them.
It comes complete with a selection of 9 hinged and glazed tin lids consisting of two W & R Jacob and Co, four Peek, Frean & Co Ltd, and three Weston's biscuits. The back boxes are a mixture of different manufacturers tins, some unmarked tins and 3 wooden made replacement boxes.
The stand measures approximately 132cm (52 inches) tall, by 104 cm ( 41 inches) wide by 27 cm (10 ½ inches) deep, 37 cm (14 ½ inches) deep with tins in place
