Rare set of 4 French late c19th gilt armchairs
Very good set of four French c19th gilt armchairs with beautifully carved frames and a generous size seat, circa 1880 and in lovely condition.
The chairs are a good size for daily use, not the small bedroom size.
Very well carved frames, elegant style and comfortable. The gilding has aged gracefully, with some areas worn here and there...these can be left as is, or I can touch them up with gilt if you would prefer.
The upholstery is not new, but is in good condition and the seats are also good.
Great decorative pair of armchairs, comfortable and good for daily use.
Can be offered in 2 x pairs if you don't want or need the set of four.
Measuring:
39'' or 99cm high
24 1/2'' or 62cm wide
22'' or 56cm wide
18'' or 46cm seat height
Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £55 +vat, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
