Rare set of 4 mahogany Georgian dining chairs
Antique rare set of 4 mahogany Georgian dining chairs C1810.
Fantastic age, colour and patina. Great simple design and clean lines.
All the chairs are identical except there is one 'Dad's' chair that is very slightly larger. This is common feature of handmade Georgian chairs, that adds to their authenticity. Visually, the dimensional difference is not noticeable.
Solid and strong with no loose joints. No woodworm.
Good new reupholstery job in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light oatmeal colour.
Overall maximum dimensions: 51.5cmW x 50cmD x 93cmH (43cmH seat when sat on).
Dad's chair 54.5cmW x 54cmD x 93cm H (43cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. Later under-seat corner strengthening blocks.
