This is a very rare Padouk Wood Bachelor's Supper Table with a single cockbeaded drawer over a brass mesh "cage". The lockable drawer, which has a replacement handle, contains a leather covered slide.

The interior can be accessed through the concave mesh doors to the front, which can also be locked, and the table stands on square chamfered legs with replacement castors.

The Lancaster firm of Gillows are known to have made this type of "Breakfast Table with Cage" following a design by Thomas Chippendale. Although the table carries no maker's mark, the quality and design show great balance and the colour of the wood is superb. It has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard and would be perfect for the serious and discerning collector.

The table is 61.5 cm wide (105 cm when the flaps are open). Depth is 61 cm and the height is 72 cm. All items are sold with a 14 day money back guarantee.
