Here we have a wonderful rare treen folk art Oak tewst piece for hand stamps dated 1903. The Oak has wonderful colour and patina. This was used in Sheffield as a test for hand stamps for personalising tools usually carpentry or cabinet making tools. Of course these were often thrown away when full. This one is completely full both sides so very rare. There are approx 130 different names stanped on the wood. The dimensions are approx 49 cm long 5 cm wide 1.2 cm deep.
