Antique large Regency 19th Century wall mirror overmantle.

This is a lovely mirror, that is full of age, charm and character, with great large proportions.

An impressive and rare find, that would look amazing in the right location.

The bevel edge mirrored glass has light/medium oxidation/foxing/defects and appears original (if not a very early replacement).

Overall maximum dimensions 130.5cmW x 85.5cmH x 7cmD.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with antique furniture. Aged gilt paint finish on wood and gesso, which has been touched up/repainted many times. There is loads of historic cracking on the gesso as you would expect to see. Quite a lot of the gesso decoration has been lost on the sides, but the main scene at the top is mostly intact. There are some historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Later plywood back.
