A superb figured walnut frame perfect for a top quality miniature portrait. (Currently housing an antique engraving)
The frame has a great dramatic effect using canted figured walnut contrasting with satin walnut beading then a further flat figured walnut panel is framed in a satinwood inner slip around the portrait. Circa 1830.
A stunner.
This measures 21 cms by 20 cms by 4 cms deep.
The picture apperture is 6.5 cms by 5 cms.
The rebate at the back for the portrait is 7 cms by 5.5 cms.
