Regency Mahogany Library Bergère Armchair

A fine late Regency/William IV mahogany and cane-filled library armchair. With scroll arms and a serpentine fronted seat it stands on tulip carved legs to the front and square tapering outsplayed legs to the rear all raised on castors.
It is in good sturdy condition with no breaks and a good original colour and patina to the timber, some scuffs to the side of the front corners above the legs, the cane work has been redone so is in very good condition, would have originally had a squab cushion. The castors appear to have been on for a long time but are not matching. There is a slight gap to the sides where the top rail meets the arms.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or for more photos.
The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width - 21 3/4in (55cm)
Depth - 31in (79cm)
Height - 36 1/4in (92cm)
Seat - 19in wide x 22in deep x 14in high (48cm x 56cm x 35.5cm)
Ref 378 Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
