Regency Period Mahogany Occasional Table.
This is a choice quality Regency Period occasional table. Designed with beautifully clean lines, it is made of well figured mahogany and dates to about 1825.
It has a flat pedestal base with a central 'gun barrel' circular stem and a rectangular top with a full depth drawer. The reverse side of the table has a dummy drawer also, which allows the piece to be used in the centre of a room and viewed from all sides (for example to take a lamp at the side of a sofa)
It stands on 4 cupped feet, with concealed original swivelling castors (2 of these are ceased and no longer roll freely)
Excellent colour and patina. Wax finish. Very good condition.
Professional restoration: A corner of veneer to the pedestal base.
