Regency Rosewood Davenport
A Regency freestanding slide top davenport in beautifully figured rosewood. The top having a shallow 3/4 gallery and the fall with antique green and tooled leather writing surface. The righthand side with 4 graduated drawers each with turned pulls and escutcheons with conforming dummy drawers to the lefthand side. The mahogany lined interior having 2 drawers with brass lock and key and a pull out pen and ink tray to the righthand side. The top slides forward to effect a kneehole for comfortable sitting and working. The front with applied mouldings and decoratively carved corners. The whole stands on a plinth base with hidden castors. In good original condition. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55. Size:- Height…32’’/ 81cm. Width…20’’/ 51cm. Depth…21.5’’/ 55cm.
