Regency Rosewood Round Centre Table
Very good quality and beautifully proportioned early 19th century English Regency rosewood tilt top centre table or dining table, circa 1820.
Fabulous rosewood grain throughout the top and the triform pedestal base with a wonderfully warm tone and mellow beeswax finish.
Originally used as breakfast or dining antique tables which could then be tilted up and placed aside in a corner when not in use. Now, these tables make great centre hall tables so as to show off that wonderful triform pedestal base, but will seat 5 to 6 to use as a dining table.
Classic style and Regency elegance.
Measuring:
29 1/2 inches or 75 cm high
47 1/2 inches or 120.5 cm diameter
27 1/4 inches or 69 cm from the floor to the underside of the apron Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
