Regency Style Faux Bamboo Double Width Chest
Well proportioned Regency style faux bamboo double width chest of drawers with a brilliantly done faux marble top.
The chest being such a good size offers you six drawers for storage and all drawers are running well.
The hand painted faux marble top is beautifully done and has a well polished finish to it, so it is not obviously painted rather than marble. The chest itself has a good consistent mahogany colour tone to it, cleaned and beeswaxed to bring up the finish.
Very decorative piece and would sit well for a number of uses, happily accommodating a large pair of lamps and a gilt mirror as a hall or living room console, or as a storage piece for the bedroom.
Measuring:
33 1/2 inches or 85 cm high
67 1/2 inches or 171.5 cm wide
Is 19 3/4 inches of 50 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
