This is a truly very high quality piece. I purchased it from an exhibition in Belgium, it was unrestored. The table has been washed back, various timber repairs applied, its then been traditionally French polished from the ground up, the green baize is brand new, it comes from the supplier to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, my upholstered has laid it perfectly and embossed the outside trim
This is a gallery perfect piece now, the brass fittings can be polished to a mirror gold finish however I have left them as they are as the patination is sublime, the table has been restored with a view to accentuate the original patination with a view to not hiding the honest age
Directoire style describes a period in the decorative arts, fashion, and especially furniture design concurrent with the post-Revolution French Directory. The style uses Neoclassical architectural forms, minimal carving, planar expanses of highly grained veneers, and applied decorative painting.

We have long term storage which is very economically priced, we are happy to hold stock for as long as needed providing it is arranged prior to the purchase.
If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment.

We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.

Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etc that's absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10 per flight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additional fee.
I’m happy to accommodate your own courier after a cleared payment has been received, they need to book in a collection time with at least 24 hours notice, all collections must be made within 7 working days of the close of the auction unless agreed by prior arrangement.
