We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning, retro oil on canvas. The painting is signed in the lower right hand corner and dated 1965, but we have been unable to decipher the signature. If anyone recognises this signature, please would they contact us. The painting has been executed with heavy impasto in some areas, mainly in the land, and depicts two hand-pulled caravans on large wheels, pulled up by the edge of some water. There are three figures in front of the left hand caravan, dressed in what appears to be Chinese or asian costume. In the distance, there is a town with a central tall building.

As we cannot identify the artist, we cannot, therefore, offer any biographical information about him or her.

This is a statement work and would sit very well in a modern or more traditional home.

The painting has been newly framed in a 2 3/4" gilt frame with two thin black lines, which suits it very well. It is ready to hang.
