TITLE: “Lawman” GSB vol 42
Transvaal Dictator - Janet
Painter of gun dogs and horses. He was born in Bolton and studied at the Athenium Graphic Club. He went to live in America in the 1930s and was living in New York in 1934. He was commissioned to paint the dogs at Girela Farms by Mrs Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge in 1929. He illustrated ‘Gundogs’ by Patrick Chalmers and ‘About Our Dogs’ by A Croxton Smith.
