For sale we have an attractive Victorian Imari pattern Royal Crown Derby cup and saucer.

The cup and saucer are both decorated with the Royal Crown Derby Pattern Imari pattern 198 which consists of two central panels, one depicting birds in a bush and one depicting a flowering bush surrounded be alternate foliate panels all in cobalt blue, green, iron red and gilt. The base of both the cup and the saucer carry the Royal Crown Derby marks, the pattern number 198 and the date cipher for 1885.
The cup is quite large and is 3 inches (7.6cm) high and just over 3 inches (7.6cm) in diameter. Both are in a good antique condition with no chips cracks or repairs, however, there is some wear to the gilt and decoration.
