For sale is a lovely Victorian Period Royal Crown Derby Muffin Dish.

The Muffin dish consists of a bowl and a domed lid and both are painted in the Royal Crown Derby Melton pattern (pattern No 2649) which consists of iron red chrysanthemums within a cobalt blue and gilded border. The muffin dish and lid both carry the Royal Crown Derby marks along with the date marks for 1890.

The muffin dish, measuring just over 8 1/2 inches in diameter, and the cover are in an excellent antique condition, with no chips cracks or repairs. However. when examined carefully (See the high resolution pictures 1 through to 5) there is some very slight wear to the gilt in places commensurate with their age.
