Royal Doulton Harvest Ale Jug, Lambeth c.1920s/30s

This is a fine quality tall Stoneware Ale Jug in the classic Harvest Style. The jug tapers from bottom to top and holds 2 pints. The body is adorned with sprigged decoration of trees, huntsmen, dogs, a windmill and assorted country folk.
Traditionally used to serve ale to the farm workers outdoors at the busy harvest time, this is a versatile jug of good size that will hold any liquid be it beer, cider, water, lemonade, Pimm's or whatever may be your personal favourite.
The ale jug is made by Royal Doulton in their Lambeth factory and dates to the interwar years of the 1920s and 1930s.
Condition is extremely good with no chips or cracks in the stoneware and a very clean interior. It appears to have seen little or no use over the last 80 plus years. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The jug stands 22.6cm / 8.9ins high and is 11cm / 4.3ins in diameter at its widest point. It weighs 1kg / 35.5oz.
The base has the Royal Doulton, Lambeth stamp, the product number 3579 and the h d mark for Doulton artist E. Violet Hayward.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Evri (Hermes) tracked & signed courier.
