We have for sale a very hard to find Edwardian Royal Doulton porcelain display plate decorated and signed by F Walklott.

This lovely display plate has a gilded rim around a raised design consisting of stylised gilded foliage with turquoise bows arranged in swags around a central hand painted panel with a raised gilded border. The central panel depicts a landscape winter scene of sheep in moonlight. The central panel is signed by the artist F Walklott. The base of the plate has a gilded foot rim within which can be found the Royal Doulton back stamp dating the piece to 1902-1922, along with the E number E1373 and the impressed date mark 04 03 indicating that the plate dates to April 1903.

The plate is just under 9 inches (22.8cm) in diameter and is in a very good antique condition with very little wear to the gilt and only a few small surface scratches to the central decoration.
