This cutlass is in exceptional good condition comes with excellent scabbard has the stamp VR and the name MOLE on Hilt.The "1808 pattern figure of 8 cutlass" refers to a specific design of naval cutlass, particularly the British 1804 pattern, known for its distinctive figure-of-eight steel guard. These cutlasses were used during the Napoleonic Wars and are also called "boarding cutlasses".
